The Athens County Humane Society (ACHS) is a charitable 501(c) (3) animal welfare organization located in Athens, Ohio. We provide low-cost spay/neuter services, employ the county Humane Agent and strive to ensure the best possible treatment, care and placement of animals in need.
ACHS is funded by donations from the community, fundraisers, corporate partnerships and grant funds. ACHS does not receive any of your tax dollars. Your contributions are sincerely appreciated.

Athens County Humane society has no single physical location--we operate out of many different spaces. We rely on foster families to house animals in need, host events at local businesses, and have created a network of support throughout the county.
